South Korea delegation of science and culture foundation visits behind the scenes of Iranian animation ‘Filshah’.

South Korea delegation of science and culture foundation has visited behind the scenes of Iranian animation ‘The Elephant King’ (Filshah).

The delegation, comprising a number of Korean university professors and cultural figures, recently visited production procedure of the Iranian animation.

Admiring Iranian animations of ‘The Elephant King’ and ‘Princess of Rome’, the Korean side expressed willingness to cooperate with the Iranian team in upcoming joint animated productions.

'Princess of Rome’ by Hadi Mohammadian is an Iranian animated movie about the life of a Christian princess, Malika, mother-to-be of the 12th Shia Imam, and granddaughter of the Caesar of Rome.

The 75-minute animation narrates the story of Malika's journey to Samarra in Iraq to marry the 11th Muslim Imam. She changes her name to Nargis Khatoon following the marriage.

The animation, premiered at the 33rd edition of the Fajr International Film Festival, was also dubbed into Arabic and English and released in a number of American, African, European and Middle Eastern countries as well as Australia.

Directed by Mohammadian and produced by Hamed Jafari, ‘The Elephant King’ is also slated to go on screen in several countries.
